High quality, though somewhat angstyThings that make this album great. -Pulling industrial into the mainstream. -When you look at KMFDM and other industrial bands releases at this point, their technology is clearly dated. Reznor however makes something that would sound practically the same today. -Though he ripped off much of Skinny Puppy's ideas, he improves on them by adding a more musical side. It's only real weakness is that the lyrics are embarassingly angsty(compared to The Downward Spiral where its more angry than anything else), but otherwise this is a great album.Too QuietNo matter how much I turn up the volume, this music is too quiet for me. Over 15 years old and still kicks assThis Album is great. I only recently discovered it's genius. To me, it seems much different than "Downward Spiral" & "The Fragile". It's totally 80's style, but it still kicks ass. Fav songs: Head like a hole (of course), Sanctified, Terrible Lie, Ringfinger, The only time, sin.....Hell, all the songs are great!!!! |
