Awesome!This collection of greatest hits is an amazing album!
Few groups can compare to DC Talk in terms of the diversity of the types of songs that they can perform well. Their vocals are superb. On top of that, they feature lyrics that are powerful and uncompromising.
This album is a must have for anyone who loves rock music and/or Christian music. For anyone who is not yet a fan of this amazing group, you are missing something very special. I think that listening to this could certainly change that.
Although their solo works are pretty good, these three have an amazing chemistry when they are together that is hard to match. In addition to this, I would certainly recommend their albums 'Jesus Freak', 'Welcome to the Freak Show', and 'Supernatural' in particular.
a great capsule of the best dc Talk songsmy first dc talk album was the "welcome to the freak show" live albm. I bought it beacuse it had the song 'in the light' ( i didnt know anything about dc talk then). I lost the album, but then 2 years later i got the "intermission" album, seeing that this cd was a convenient way to get all the best dc talk songs. I think they should have put more songs from the Jesus Freak album on there, like "like it love it need it"..."in the light" is one of the best songs by dc talk, right along with Jesus Freak...their ability to take "in the light" by Charlie Peacock and make it their own shows how great and talented this group really is (was)...i wont hold my breath waiting for when they reunite, but when they are together (as on tobymac's atmosphere) something special happens, and i hope that they reunite sooner rather than later...very few bands posess the musical creativity that dc talk did
for anyone just beginning to know who dc talk is this is a great snapshot of their greatest songs and if you have the money get the jesus freak album too.Simply awesome!I actually turned out to like this album a lot more than I thought I would. It's very fun. It has a perfect song selection.They made a great remix of Say The Words. It is far better than the original; the sounds fit the song so much better. Kevin Max's vocals REALLY shine on it. Their remake of Jesus Is Just Alright actually wasn't bad. It turned out to be very popular. I actually liked it better than the original. I still love the guitar in it! My Will is an awesome song. It has great lyrics and great sound. Again, it's awesome. Between You And Me is also an awesome song. The overall sound has really stood out to me. I love it. Very great sound. Consume Me is another stand-out track. It is very beautiful. Again, great for Kevin Max's vocals. In The Light is not to be forgotten! It is easily one of the best songs they've ever done. It is just simply amazing. It has awesome lyrics, awesome vocals, awesome sound, and awesome tune. Overall, it is AWESOME. Supernatural is super incredible! I absolutely LOVED it from the first time I heard it. If you think it's incredible in the studio, there's nothing like the live version. Yet, another great Kevin Max song. I love the guitar. Anyway, this is the first DC Talk CD that I've had (and the only). I would recommend that it would be your first DC Talk CD to purchase, if you don't have any of their CDs already. Enjoy! |
