A dark journey to the center of your soul...This album is nothing like any other album or artist. Collide is a very amazing group. Each song is dark, passionate, and emotional. Karin's sultry, smooth and calming vocals will put you in a state of comfort. The production is very well done and the orchestration is amazing. You'll feel like Collide is taking you to different worlds. The best songs have to be Modify and Mutation, both including an acoustic guitar. If you want music that will put you in a trance, make you reflect on your inner peace, or just take you to different soundscapes, this CD is for you.Whatever Genre you try and put this init really rocks. The vocals are amazing relaying so much emotion in each and every one of their songs. It is often best to not just listen to one song but rather listen to the whole thing and get the experience of it kinda like their friends from LA TOOL. Overall great album.The Best Abstract Muisc you'll ever findIf you were considering Collide and never heard them before, don't expect something that is going to fit in with everything else but expect something that is going to knock your socks off. The only music I'll listen to round the clock is Collide, a pair of headphones and a moderate volume level in a dimly lit room will set a wonderful mood for you to listen to Collide. All their albums have a similar feel and I would suggest Some kind of Strange Chasing the Ghost and Beneath the skin for someone who has the more open mind, Vortex is an Album I believe anyone can love its not as abstract as the others and is wonderful for dancing and I can guarantee once you hear vortex you'll want to hear everything else. Though I'm glad to have heard their original music first. Collide is probably the first of a new breed of music not rock nor techno. Abstract music is not something you come by often and this is THE BEST. |
