let me go by saying this i am a jaci velasquez fan for years ever since she came out in 1996...ok lets get one thing straight..THIS IS NOT UNSPOKEN this is BEAUTY HAS GRACE a totally diffrent cd this is one of the best jaci cd to come out since her second self titled album "jaci"(in which i love).but to be honest "beauty has grace" came petty darn close the lyrcs on this cd are really good and catchy....now for those who are new to jaci i will advise you that this is a cd will grow on you every time you listen to it my favorite song is "with all my soul" "supernatural""reason to belive"and "somthing beautiful" in which i play that song in heavy rotation.this is jaci at her best i would deffenify pefer this cd...trust me this is a whole new diffrent side to jaci that some thought she never had...edge with a messege...let this be the review for those who where wavering let me...to get this cd find this review helpful and go get this cd...........

Same Music, Different Package

I read several different on-line reviews for this CD before I purchased it. Each seemed to imply that this CD was a new direction for Jaci, that her lyrics were bolder and the overall sound was much more independent in nature. Strange. I must have purchsed the Prozac copy of this CD because there is nothing new here from her. Like my title line to this review states, it's the exact same music she has always sang, just in a different package. Now the CD just collects dust. What a shame.

...

This is going to sound exceptionally shallow (and deservedly so) but what caught my eye to this cd was how beautiful Jaci is on the cover of this album. I mean, Gosh! She looks natural and just radiates. Someday the music industry is going to realize that completely making up an artist into someone they aren't (think Stacie Orrico-- whom I saw in person and looks nothing like her album covers...) is not as eye catching as they'd like to think.

It takes more than one listen through of any given music listening session to actually appriciate this cd. The first time through the songs all seem to blend in to one incoherrent mess. Any repeat listenings in that period of time, however, really unwrap some really wonderfully executed songs.

Which is good. Unfortunately, the problem is that for as good as the songs may be after the first listen, it is too time consuming to realistically listen through the twice just to catch the good parts the second time around. Rather than waste the first 40 minutes of any given period of time I'd rather listen to album that aren't quite the time commitment--and offer equally good listening experiences (think Sixpence None The Richer or Jars of Clay).
